First Aid at Work
Approved by the Health and Safety Executive of Great Britain for training in first aid for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
The EFR First Aid at Work (Great Britain) programme meets the statutory needs of employers needing to have at least one First Aider on the premises. The First Aider in the workplace needs to complete an approved First Aid at Work programme, which has a minimum 24 hours instructor\participant contact time. Each participant must successfully complete a written and practical assessment, carried out by two assessors who were not involved in their training.
The EFR First Aid at Work (Great Britain) programme is customised to UK Resuscitation Council and First Aid protocols and is based upon the instructor led delivery of the EFR Primary Care and Secondary Care course. Modules on Caring for Specific Illnesses and Injuries, and First Aid in the Workplace compliment these.
