BCU Aquatic First Aid
This is a course designed to provide those involved in canoeing or other water based activities with the basic knowledge and skills required to render First Aid should the need arise.
The course covers the following major topics:
- Incident management
- ABC of Resuscitation
- Effects of Heat and Cold
- Hypothermia
- Shock
- Wounds and Bleeding
- Fractures
- Heart Attack
Whilst designed with the canoeist in mind the course would be suitable for all people who work outdoors.
